Hinterland Crosscountry "a big hit!"

Despite the freezing winds, on Sunday morning, 242 runners from around the region, old and young  alike, took part in the first major sporting event on the Maleny Community Precinct.

Audiences Celebrate with Strauss the "Waltz King"

Celebrating their tenth anniversary this year, the Maleny Singers have filled a gap in the musical theatre landscape on the Sunshine Coast since 2003. They have regularly brought to the stage classical operettas by such renowned composers as Gilbert and Sullivan, Franz Lehár and Offenbach.

The Sunshine Coast Cross Country Series on Sunday 19th May

The Sunshine Coast Cross Country Series is recognised as Queensland's best winter cross country racing series.    It caters for runners, joggers and walkers of all ages, both serious and recreational.     Beginning with U'8's, there's a family race and various age races right up to 18+ and Open. 

Bill O'Chee - a man for all seasons

We're very pleased to announce that Bill O'Chee is to be the guest speaker at the 2013 Sports Awards Dinner.     You may well remember him as holding the distinction of being the youngest senator ever appointed to the Australian Senate, in 1990, aged just 24. 

Mayor Jamieson opens Precinct carpark

Four Councillors, including Cr Jenny McKay, Council staff and around sixty brave souls witnessed Mayor Mark Jamieson opening the new Precinct Car Park on Friday, 25 January.
