Maleny Combined Churches Youth Group is a safe,
fun place for teenagers in a Christian environmentMeeting Times:
The group, which commenced in mid 2007, meets weekly in School Terms at the Maleny State High School Activities Centre.
In Terms 1 and 4 we meet on a Sunday evening from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
In Terms 2 and 3, when there is no Touch Football competition, we meet on a Friday evening from 6pm to 9pm.
Activities include:
Nights at the activities centre typically include an introductory hang time (when everyone catches up with one another and engage in activities such as basketball and badminton), two periods of organised games and sports activities, a meal together (provided by a volunteer team of parents) and a cell group time when contemporary issues of relevance to young people are discussed from a Christian perspective.
Some special activities, such as ten pin bowling, skating, camps and bushwalks are held each term.
This is a group where young people from all backgrounds find acceptance, friendship and a good time.

The Group is an initiative of The Range Christian Leader's Network in association with the Maleny High School Chaplaincy Committee and Scripture Union Queensland.
The Group has been operating for about a year and has a regular attendance of around 30.
Leaders hold Blue Cards and are affiliated with Scripture Union and/ local churches.
There is no criteria for membership other than age and the group is open to all young people who would like to attend.
